A picture speaks a thousand words. So, all these shall sum up my CNY 2012.

Steamboat dinner is always my favourite part of CNY. :) This year, to make it a little more exciting, I went with Mummy to squeeze with the crowd at Chinatown! I was feeling all excited and stuff but the rain had to dampen our mood. ): The rain was freaking huge and we were all soaked halfway. ):

First day of CNY was visiting as usual. I don't do much visitings. Just both my grandma's houses and that's about it. So, CNY day 2 is usually a day whereby I hang out with my family for buffet and movie. :)

I usually don't enjoy these kind of festive seasons. Neither do I mean I hate them. But it's more like a day for me to rest and get together with my family. But I am not really close to my extended family except one or two cousins so yeah. Just yet another slightly more exciting day.

Friday I went back to Gucci again! Wrote notes for everyone :) I like to know that they love it. :) Sad thing is I probably don't have time to visit again already. ): Don't forget me ahh!!

First week of school was as usual. Seeing familiar faces around and attending lessons. So far not alone yet, but STARS WARS is still ongoing. So you never know. ): Anyway, yesterday and today basically marks the adventures of my week!

Yesterday night, we had a farewell night for Spins!! ))))))): I'm so gonna miss you Spins!! Wanted to go to Chomp Chomp but due to accessibility issue, we ended up Taman Jurong Food Centre for BBQ stuff, which urm... in my opinion, wasn't too accessible as well LOL. Had all our local delights: BBQ Sotong, BBQ Stingray, Sambal Kangkong, Char Kway Teow, Oyster Omelette, Satay. Pretty delicious, but I still miss Chomp Chomp!! Hahah afterall we went on to meet with Lilin and went for dessert at Ji De Chi. The durian with pomelo sago is awesome seriously. Without fail, we won't end off the night at 10pm one. So someone suggested a crazy idea of singing K and we actually went along with it!! Went to Teoheng at 11pm and sang till 1am before we went home. Thankyou everlasting friend + classmate + groupmate for sending us all to our doorstep! We went through a scary roadtrip before reaching home safely! And as usual, K was awesome :)

Today so happens that I don't have lessons (start on week 2 ): ) and I woke up at a crazy 12pm and got a call from Everest so off I went to Gucci to find them for lunch! Also had lunch with Shehling Norman Sylby and Eddie and Carolyn joined us afterwards. Miss them all so much!!! After which, I went back and had a chat with almost everyone and then hugged Mira and Regina and Rox. And then Melissa actually made me our special signature Gucci drink which was meant for VIPs only!! So I sat down at the sofa and enjoyed it hahah really nice!! I always wanted to try it when I was working but apparently we can't! So today I finally had a chance. Lagged till 4pm and accompanied Veronice and Regina for lunch and then subsequently Kelly. Ended off the day with some shopping with Carolyn and Everest. I was in Gucci for like 4 hours?!

To sum it up, next week seems way more adventurous. CANNOT WAIT.

First day of work was hectic, horribly confusing. Suddenly, everything was thrown to you. Product knowledge, names of like 40 over staff, where each room is, how to pack stocks, standard greetings... and the list goes on. I was in a mess too because no one knew what to do with new part-timers. But slowly and gradually I knew. Wherever/whoever needs help, off we go. To sum it up, the first few days was terrible. I felt like I was in a foreign land, no one knew me, and I knew no one. That feeling sucks.

After much interaction, and now that I know some people a lot better, and am closer to them all, it's time to leave. Honestly, working here has made the slightest difference to my life. Before this, Paragon was a mall I never ever go. Because it only has atas stuff which I cannot afford and hence shopping at Paragon = boring. But now, I think I will go to Paragon real often, just to walk by and say hi. In the past, I rarely put on makeup, only on special occasions. But now, I am so accustomed to putting on makeup that I fear I might not survive without it. My bare face looks like a mess everyday, and this is bad.

So here it comes. The ending which I dreaded. I guess all things come to an end. But I am glad that I end this with smiles and laughter and fond memories. And if time permits and opportunity comes knocking again, you will find me back at Gucci Paragon in December 2012. Till then.

I think I have learnt to be more contented, gradually. With every passing year, I seem to have grown a little, bit by bit, into someone else slightly different, hopefully for the better. I have learnt to close one eye (and one ear at times too), yet I remain persistent in certain aspects. In short, I'm just trying to make myself happier, yet not compromising on my own principles.

2011 started off well but little did I know that I will end 2011 with a bang too. Last month of 2011 was spent working. But while money came rolling in, I made lots of new friends too. I knew retail/F&B is something I would really enjoy for a holiday job, so here I am, in Gucci. Working every other day (PH inclusive) and being perpetually unavailable for meetups plus OT almost everyday meant that this job aint easy. But I have been enjoying every bit of it. With only a week left till school reopens, I am already starting to miss this place.

2012 started off with work (yet again). Actually, I kind of wish 2012 would come slower which probably meant it will take a while more before I leave. But time flew by so fast, too fast for me to stop and realise.

This new year, I have no new year resolutions. I know I will never set out to achieve them anyway. New year this time round has also been exceptionally normal and simple. But simplicity is beauty. My 2012 will still be as beautiful. (:
