♥ Dance!
The first thought I had after watching JDC yesterday was that I MISS DANCE!

Took us quite a while before we managed to form a nice 'MD' which stands for Malay Dance after we came back from SYF 2009. I miss SYF, all the memories gushing back again, especially when two days later, it's gonna be MD's SYF again! For those who didn't know, I was in NJC Malay Dance, the most awesome CCA and family you can ever find, seriously. I still don't get how people of different nationalities and different ethnicities can get together so harmoniously, but we just did. Despite graduating for close to 1.5 years already, there is a fact that will never change: My love for NJMD. <3

My first dance performance after I get into NJMD. Aristal 2008! Performed in two dances that event, this is our awesome basket dance! I remember struggling with the huge baskets but it was a really fun dance because the music is so cheeky, the dance is so cute and funny. I miss everyone!! (:

My second dance performance for that event, umbrella dance! The first kind of traditional graceful dance that was something not quite NJMD's style. Not easy to bring out that feminine side of us LOL, since all along, we were going along with the contemporary style. Definitely a venture out of our comfort zone, but also a dance that got many praises from the audience for our courage!

I am following closely to the timeline LOL. This was sometime in March 2009, MD camp! Definitely something etched in my mind till now. The EXCO spent a lot of time trying to plan this, and definitely it did help to bond the group together, and boost our morale right before our big event, SYF 2009! Heh our fright night was such a failure, at least for our station. I remember Saniah and I getting scared by Kurt instead!!

One of the usual dance trainings at Old PA @ Kallang. My favourite training place! Awesome seniors came back to visit. I love how we always have food ready for us whenever trainings end. The muffins and sandwiches that Mrs Tan bakes, and the curry puffs and breads and all the finger food that Ms Khoo and Mrs J bought. Gosh they spent a bomb aftertime there's a training. I miss how they showered us with love and concern always!! Best teachers-in-charge EVER!!

A performance for CNY 2009! Sarong dance, one of my favourite dance because it is so beautiful!!! Costumes and sarongs are damn pretty and the steps are damn awesome, so is the music played by Angklung! :D I still have the music in my phone and I still remember the steps. Once in a while, I still dance along with the music to reminisce a bit.

The same sarong dance, but performed at CCA carnival 2009. Okay terrible makeup this time round because we were only peforming in front of our booth. (Did we even put makeup that time?) It was fun though. I love how NJMD always managed to complete the dance despite space constraints.

CCA room cleanup before SYF 2009. Heh followed by plate painting sessions if I'm not wrong. I miss our SYF piece, the most awesome plate dance!! I think the whole group broke at least 50 plates while trying to master this dance. Dancing with plates on hand for at least 3-4mins, backrolling with it, rolling with it, throwing the plates and catching it again, all the stunts we do with the plates. It's a total breakthrough for us and definitely, the most challenging but the most rewarding dance I ever did. :D

Us senior girls with Kurt, hahah during our last performance at SISC opening before we stepped down. Life was so terrible after stepping down from dance!! I MISS YOU GIRLS!! COME BACK SOON SANIAH AND GWEN! AND MEET UP AFTER OUR EXAMS!! @ JOYCELYN, HUIWEI, HAZI, LISSYA!

The heart that we formed. One lovely family, during our IP team's SYF. :D

But life did not stop there after I graduated. Last year, I went back to perform for Aristal. Heh us before we wear our whole costume. ALISON, WHY ARE YOU SO CUTE! HAHAH I MISS YOU!

A pity Saniah, Hazi, Huiwei couldn't come back to dance too. But at least 4 senior girls could make it for the trainings, practices, and the real thing. Really apologetic yet glad that Ms Khoo and Abang Zairin were really patient with us despite our absence during the practices due to work. I have like only attended about 5 practices and off I am to stage to perform. Definitely one of my most jittery performances since we were so ill-prepared. By the way, I miss your idiotic face Gwen Hwarng!

The group photo with our grandjuniors. Such a big group then and I think it has expanded even further now. So looking forward to SYF 2011, 2 more days to IP team!!! ALL THE WAY NJMD! (:
Okay that was a long recap of my whole dance journey. Definitely not the end yet. This year, I couldn't join for Aristal 2011 because they are using the SYF pieces which I am unsure of, and clashes with exams timing etc. But that doesn't mean I won't be back for Aristal 2012! :D
Yes, linking back to JDC, I think I should join back dance again. I want to get back on stage again!
